Our parent lab, Legacy Digital Productions, converted Steven Spielberg’s childhood films for the documentary Spielberg, and the family’s personal video tapes for Netflix’s Lucy and Desi. Studios chose a lab they could drive to for the same reason you might: the originals never leave anyone’s sight.

Fewer miles, fewer hands, fewer chances to lose it.
Most transfer services are logistics companies with a scanner attached. Your box travels to a sorting hub, then a warehouse, then a production floor, then back. Every leg is a chance for a carton with no duplicate inside it to end up somewhere it should not be. We are one building. That is the whole difference.
Film, video tape, slides and photos all come through the same counter, under the same chain of custody.

An hour on a good day. Many people combine the trip with a visit and collect in person too.

A drive or a short ship. Either way the box stays inside Southern California.

The same rates, minus the shipping risk.
Dropping off is not a discount and we will not pretend otherwise. What it saves is round-trip shipping on something that cannot be replaced, and the question nobody enjoys: what would a carrier pay if a box of family film vanished?

Same published rate whether you drive in or ship. $50.00 service minimum. DVD or Blu-ray copies are $15 each. Ask for a current quote before you count on a figure.

Legacy Digital Productions has been family owned and operated in Orange since 2001. Scott Foster founded it and still does the work himself. Everything is scanned here, by the people who work here, which is why we can tell you where your material is at any point without phoning anyone.
